Madrid, July 13, 2018.- Eurona, the Spanish telecommunications multinational, has launched a platform for the development of mobile applications, which will allow the tourism and retail sector to collect data about the particularities of its customers and improve the experience of purchase with a system of direct recommendations based on their sociodemographic profile and their latest purchase preferences.
This initiative, which is part of the CIEN ETUR2020 project promoted by the Ministry of Economy and Business and the Industrial Technological Development Center, seeks to transform tourism and the retail sector offering to the customers a new experience of purchase through real-time interaction with mobile applications and the Internet of things.
The company with the rest of the companies that also participate in this project such as INDRA, Solusoft, Compartia and Zemzania with the collaboration of the technological center of Catalonia Eurecat, Imdea or Carlos III University of Madrid, also allows tourism agents to collaborate with each other to innovate and offer new solutions adapted to smart destinations.
And, among other features, this platform includes data management services, geolocation and proximity systems, services for the management of the Internet of things, personalized recommendations based on profile data and customer tastes, analytical methods in real time for providers and public agencies and, of course, security and privacy services for all users.
In the development of this project, Eurona has the experience provided by its Hotspot business line, through which it offers high quality WiFi services without interference in areas with high traffic demand. In this context, it has already used smart data generation systems to offer the retail sector and shopping centers marketing campaigns tailored to each establishment to contribute to the digital transformation of the user experience.
